We stop the canoe, wedging against a beaver dam to take in the mid spring sunshine. We are far from any road now, in a land of ducks nests and birdsong. Kilometres down the weaving river, we are guests in the home of a cow moose, very far in the distance of the marshland, but still aware of our presence. The landscape is not yet green, and the cow stands alone. Judging by her size, she will soon have a tiny companion as the spring turns lush.
This painting is acrylic on a weathered piece of wood, unknown to me. It has been sealed with wood varnish for longevity, and has a sawtooth hanger affixed to the back for hanging.
Although the painting has been sealed, it is always the best practice to keep artwork indoors and out of direct sunlight!
Dimensions are approximately;
18”L x 6”W
